Job in Abu Dhabi Investment Authority
#181

Hey Nutty, depending on what you specifically want to do in ADIA, I know quite a few people who work there, most are not in the equities department. Drop me a pm with more details, I may be able to point you in the right direction, then it's up to you.
If you look on LinkedIn of course, there are shed loads of individuals on there who already work there, can't be too tricky to work out their email addresses....
Can it?

I went there one week after a telephone interview, then they took my photo and photocopies during the face to face interview..
Offer was made the following week.....so three weeks end to end.
It all boils down to the following:
How urged the placement is
How much weight the hiring manager has over HR
The Job role you are applying for

I have a question for you...
I have secured a job in Dubai and now we need to get something sorted for my husband. He has corporate finance and credit structuring experience (so overall a good fit I'd say for a SWF type role) how would be the best way of getting these guys attention? We are currently based in London and had some pretty awful experience with recruitment guys in UAE. I would really appreciate some feedback as I don't want to go out there alone!!
Thanks

So this thread was going for quite a long time and although it has paused for a while, I expect it will come back to life shortly as ADIA are starting a spat of expat hiring in certain areas.
Dono, or anyone else that went through the ADIA process on this thread - how did it go? Dono did your screening go without incident in the end?

Hi, just bumping up my last post - am very interested in the final stages of the process if anyone can let me know how it panned out for them - I am now booked in for the psychometric assessment so any info that could be shared about the process post passing the assessment successfully i.e. the visit, the screening, the CID check etc, would be gratefully received.

It can take a while. My husband was offered a job 3 weeks after his visit and that was a month after his testing. From job offer to landing in AD took 4 months and that was with a 1 month notice period.

I know for a fact that they are hiring high level (Senior Management) IT people with specific knowledge/experience of banking and financial applications. If anyone needs any other info PM me.
