Re: Job in Abu Dhabi Investment Authority
I had a video conference interview with ADIA staff which went well. I was invited for the assessment day which went well and I got some really good feedback from Korn Ferry. ADIA HR were in touch and we started talking dates for the interview. We spoke about what the trip would be like and the things to prepare and research on like schools and housing... then silence! Like literally nothing. I have reached out to the agency who seem embarrassed but are not very forthcoming and also reached out the ADIA HR contact... nothing. Does this happen often? And if so what are the chances that this will ever resurface?

The big consultants are all here, can the spouse just transfer? I am a spouse and I work here. The same as being in any other city.

Re: Job in Abu Dhabi Investment Authority
I just looked for work when i got here. We have had two more children since arriving but as childcare is easy I have worked on and off for 10 years, mostly freelancing. I currently am about to start a permanent professional role with a large company. I am still on my husband's visa but he had to write a letter of no objection (NOC) as my sponsor and the company then provides my labour card. I still keep the ADIA medical benefits, which are superior to most. The best way to do it here is to socialise and network like mad, as it is not a traditional, mature market. However, there are amazing opportunities as onboarding someone who is local is much cheaper than recruiting from overseas.

Finished onsite interviews yesterday. As mentioned by others, it was a well organised trip with lots of interviews over 2 days. Met quite a few people from the team I'm recruiting for as well as people from other verticals and teams.
Interviews were mostly around fit, domain/macro knowledge and a few pointed technical questions as well. The schedule changed a few times over the course of 2 days, but i goes thats normal. On day 1, had a dinner scheduled post the interviews as well.
Overall a fun and intense process. Now the wait to hear back on their decision. Any thoughts on how long this could take??

Re: Job in Abu Dhabi Investment Authority
Hi all,
I am interviewing for a position at ADIA Real Estate Investment team, and wanted to know if any of you has an idea of what the package would be like for such a position?
I have around 5 years of experience, 3.5 of them in a bulge bracket M&A team and 1.5 in a top REPE fund in London, so my position in ADIA will be probably senior Associate.
Let me know if you have any info on this, as I saw some people posting about similar jobs before but nothing was concreted.
Thanks a lot, very helpful thread!

Hi all,
For those who have moved to Abu Dhabi recently, please can you tell me if you’re allowed to move any food stuff at all in your shipping container?
Also, any recommendations on movers / packers?
Many thanks in advance.
