Default Is this a good offer in Qatar?

Hello guys
I am new here and need to decide ASAP on this offer. I am a mechanic Engineer with 15 years of experience. The offer package by Qatar Foundation is:
-Basic Salary 30,000 QAR per month
-Transport and other allowances 3,000 QAR per month.
-Furnished accomodation is provided+ phone + elctricity + internet covered
-Annual flights to home country (economy class).
-20% of car cost (max 20,000 QAR) is covered.
-schools tution is covered.
-annual leave 37 working days
We are a family of 4 (I and my wife, 2 kids 15 and 13 years).
I need to know whether or not the offer is good given my qualification and experience. I also like to know about this employer.
How much can I save of this?

Thanks

I think it is a good offer. QF benefits are great and has a good, professional working environment.

What is the position title? And, what Center/Directorate within QF will you be working for?

Your savings will depend on your lifestyle.

However, please do consider school admissions for your children before accepting any offer. Admission in school is very difficult in Doha.

All the best!

Lots.

It's about (roughly) £120-125,000 tax free total package. You'll be fine.

It's not a matter if choice when it comes to school but rather which one has availability. Please contact all potential schools in advance to inquire about seats for your children.

I think it's best to think of it as £66,000 tax free PA plus housing, education and flights. Since all of your costs will be paid for you should be able to save a fair bit every month. Housing and education are very expensive so it seems like a good deal.

Housing is probably the biggest burden in Qatar and since it's provided you need not worry about the rest as much.

Accommodation here plus utilities is approx. 12-17K pm - dependant on size and location of course but that is the average figure. (Of course if you move to Wakrah and Barwa city then its a lot lot cheaper but they are far out)

So lets say 30K+3K+14K is your true monthly salary = 47K

In addition, flights back home is standard out here for Westerners, education package is NOT so thats another bonus on top of your monthly salary and education is notoriously expensive.

Contribution towards car costs is an additional benefit NOT offered so thats excellent/generous.

Annual leave is 37 days which is also excellent as the norm is 20-25 days.

You didnt mention medical? I'm assuming thats also included as thats standard part of the package like flights back home.

Conclusion, yes it is a good package.
