can anyone tell me roughly what railway fitters can earn in UAE,?

If that's the blue collar job I think it is the answer will be very little indeed as it will be done by chaps from the sub-continent who are paid no more than a few thousand Dirhams a month. You'd need to be in a supervisory/management role to earn anything close to a decent income.

Not much, like Meow says. As an example, multifunction rolling stock technicians with Serco make AED 10k/month, and that's the highest-skilled blokes with tickets for multiple systems, i.e. brakes, electrics, air, bogies, power, comms etc, so not a lot. Skills below that: even less £££. Most railway fitters here are Filipinos and Indians. As a Westerner, unless you're coming in at a decent level it's not worth it.
