I have searched the entire forum, and done numerous Google searches, without finding an answer to this question.

Yes, but it is discretionary so it's not guaranteed.

... and yes, generous but not as a generous as, say, a PE fund or investment bank. Basics tend to be higher though. Think % of salary, not multiple.

"Discretionary so not guaranteed" - is that discretionary as in "for the lucky few" or as in "if you don't get a good bonus you're probably going to lose your job anyway"?
