Al Muneera is a bit in the middle of nowhere, but has a nice if sun-scorched feel to it. It reminded me a little of some European holiday villages in terms of architectural style. Completely empty bar a few Aldar teachers at the moment, but I'm sure it will fill up over time.

Not sure re Al Muneera as I've never been to it. Sun and Sand towers have a few of my husband's colleagues in and they're all happy. There are pools, play areas, cafes etc and a supermarket so just really convenient. If you are both going to be working it will be really easy (and quick) to get to most areas downtown.
They also have Milo out here. I was chuffed when I found that. I hadn't had it since I was a kid in Sydney.

Couple of BSAK teachers and some medical staff too.
