Worried
I am starting the K1 process soon and I need to know how a conviction of a class 4 misdemeanor would affect the process. Other than that, my record is clear. I am a bit worried that my run-in with a not so nice policeman will have negative affects on my ability to bring my fiancée to the US.
Thanks for any information,

The criminal history of a US citizen will not interfer with the K visa. In fact, I read recently of a prisoner in Connecticut who is petitioning for her husband from Ghana. Of course, I understand that name checks are done on both parties and if there is a warrant out for the arrest of a USC, they now know where to find them.
It is the history of the foreign loved one that will make or break the process.
