will unauthorized work affect spouse sponsorship?
before i got married, while i was f-1, I worked without uscis
authorization. I had a real ss card, only it was
inscribed with"not valid for work without ins auth". i gave the
employer my ssn, went through the w-2 process and even got taxes
withheld. long story short, i was facing hardship and desperate in
need of extra finances.
currently, i am in the beginning stages of sponsorhip by my usc spouse.
(I-130, I-485)
my question is: will my unauthorized prior work affect my application
process? does the USCIS
check my ssn and say i violated status by working and reject my
application?
i'm just worried about the worst case scenario.
bye.

They won't have to, because you'll list it on your G-325A. They may
make you file an I-601, which has a $265 fee.

The worst case scenario is that you lie in your I-485 package and get
caught.
