Default why are RFE's processed longer than regular K3's

You would think that a RFE would take less time to process than a regular K3, but looking at some of the RFE processing times it is getting actually longer and longer.

For example: In the last 3 months, RFE's took 91, 110 and 118 days respectively.

Why are RFE's given such low priority ?

Because they don't count against there productivity. You do not see an RFE adjudicated item on the JIT reports

Hi:

Without seeing the RFE, you can't tell.

Here is what the message on the online status says:

=============================
On April 14, 2004, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. It is taking between 60 and 90 days for us to process this kind of case. However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case.
=====================================

If they are saying that preliminary processing has already been completed, why the 90+ days for processing.

I think you are reading it wrong - it says that overall, the case takes between 60 - 90 days, but, since the initial processing is complete, it *should'nt* take 60-90 additional days.

I believe Mr. F was refering to seeing the RFE not the NOA. In plain english...Without knowing what additional evidence was requested it is hard to form an opinion.

Clear as mud now?

Hang in there!

Why would you put any stock in a message you hear on the phone or read on-line? All are worthless pieces of fiction.
