While waiting for the I-130

Re: While waiting for the I-130
Hi Wendy,
It was Rob who introduced the technicalities, with his "technically self-employed" and "technically an extended vacation". It sure appears that he is trying to 'spin' the situation to make the situation sound the way he wants it to.
Rob can call it whatever he wants, but if a CBP officer at the POE decides that his extended vacation is living in the USA then the officer can deny entry and send Rob home again.
No one said anything about crimes or going to jail.
Regards, JEff

after reading this i just went ahead and called customs/immigration officer and they were straight forward and direct with the best method. i was completely honest about what we're trying to accomplish and so on. it was easy and they were very helpful. sunflwrgrl13 is correct in stating that after filing the I130 that the I129f/K3 visa is an appropriate next step in making things speedy.

Will you be taking the dogs back with you? Can be harrowing for dogs, even small ones.
I really think you are setting yourself up for a quick trip home, but I am I admit fascinated by the likely conversation at the POE.
My wife uses an IPOD to record her lectures, not sure if Secondary allows this, but a recording of the conversation would be very interesting.
In the meantime perhaps the site could be upgraded to allow the posting of audio files.
