I'm yet to start this process so I'm still in the research stage, and hoped someone may be able to help me with this question.
My research so far seems to show that it is far, far quicker to file my AOS in person at the Albany (NY) office (which you can do on wednesdays), as you get your EAD and AP on the same day, or within 3 days. In comparison to filing in NYC where it may take many months to get my EAD and AP as I can only file by mail.
Living in Suffolk County, technically it seems I have to file in NYC. But as my boyfriends parents have a holiday house in Delaware County (covered by the Albany Office) could I use this address instead??
Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated....
Sarah.
p.s. I'm currently here on a Tourist Visa, but lived here for 3 years on a H1B so have SSN etc. How quickly I could expedite my EAD and AP will affect if I go home and apply for a K1 or just apply for my AOS after marriage on a Tourist Visa.

You can't do that. Regardless of your mailing address, you must file
the application with the correct BCIS office covering your primary
residence.
A little known fact is that BCIS does perform some undercover
investigations on your residence as part of the application
processing. Moreover, part of the adjustment interview will be
looking for proof of residence and joint cohabitation. If you give a
false residence, you could face an application denial.
