Saha,
From the multiple posts I would say you are excited. Here is what was sent to my wife yesterday. She is going through Montreal. She was instructed to send all of these documents in the mail. She will not have an interview and they will mail back the visa. That may be different, but here are the things that were needed. The only thing that is needed from the US Citizen is the Support doc.
The checklist included
1. Passport
2. Photos
3. Medical Exam
4. Birth Certificate
5. Translation to English (if applicable)
6. Marriage Certificate
7. Translation to English (if applicable)
8. Police Background Check
9. Court Records (if applicable)
10. Military Records (if applicable)
11. Evidence of Support 1-134
12. The OF-156 (Biography)
13. A non immigrant visa application
14. Another biography form (can't remember the number) this one basically had a check list that said you aren't a terrorist or nazi.
15. Money for visa $100 US

Hope this helps.

Hey geoff

I am going through montreal as well, and i find it curious that the procedure for me are different from that of your fiance.

As for me, i had to get all the documents you mentionned previously, but i did not have to send them to the consulate. I was told to send just the checklist signed and dated. And upon reception of that checklist, they would advise me of an interview date. I would then bring all the documents to the interview.

I wonder why the procedures were different for the same consulate.
If anybody can answer us...

cheers

I've got to pass comment on your "name" SAHA.
Mainly because of Loius Saha, the Fulham Football Club striker.
Just a coincidence, I suppose )

Is yours a K-1 petition? I guess K1s and K3s have different procedures.

hi krikkrak,
i am dealing with US Embassy in Jakarta Indonesia and i think we have the same procedures. i just have to send back the checklist and the biographic form (DS 230) the clinic where i have my medical examination will deliver the result straight to the embassy.

after they receive those 2 forms, and the medical thing, they will let me know the interview date and that is when i bring the rest of all documents.

have a nice day,
anggraeni

Mine was K-1 visa

I may sound ignorant but what's the difference between K-1 and K-3?

Cheers
