what is the fastest way of getting copies of my tax returns
My husband overstayed his visa waiver by 3 weeks. This then led to him needing a waiver when we did a DCF in oslo norway in December 2002.
well at that time, I provided them with all the documents. We have waited six month for the waiver without luck. After tons of calls and emails to the embassy, they replied appologizing for the long wait and asking me to update my file before they can give him the waiver and visa.
Well i am in Denmark right now. the first time i tried to get tax returns from irs, I never heard a reply from them. The money I paid was gone and nothing accounted for.
Now I do not know how to get copies of my tax returns since I am not in the states.
please help.

Just wondering how you requested them. Here is the link you need to apply for tax transcripts for the current year and the last 3 returns. They are free and take about 2 weeks to arrive.

When I called for mine, they faxed them to me the same day and also mailed them to me and I received them only a few days later.

you can go down to your local IRS office and have it in hand in less than 3 minutes.
