Default what does a US citizen need to do to help people come to the US?

I'm a US citizen and don't know a lot about what sponsorship people need to come to
the US. Let's say I know someone in another country. If I am not an employer, what
support or procedures would I need to have them come to the US to sponsor them? Any
URLs or comments would be helpful.

As a US citizen, you can only sponsor your parents, spouse, siblings, or children to
immigrate to the US. Otherwise the only thing you could do is help find employers
willing to sponsor those wanting to immigrate to the US, but I believe most
employment visas require applicants to have a college degree or many years work
experience Start here - the INS website - try the "How do I" section
