Default Thanks

We have decided on Feb 1 as move date. Did you ship any of your belongings to England? We have a few things that would be nice not to have to buy again in London.

Wow! how much did it cost per box. What size and weight were you shipping? Did you ship anything electronic? We have a really lovely t.v. but are worried about it breaking.

It unfortunately ended up costing around $6k, but bear in mind we are a family of four, and it included the bed and sofa etc. North American TV's won't work in the UK because it's a different system, we sold ours.

Any other appliances can be used but you need a "step up step down transformer". This will allow you to use it on the 220 volt system but this is expensive and is very heavy (don't drop it on your foot). We sold our Canadian Washer and Dryer also before leaving.

Don't even think about shipping a car, just in case you are. Sell it and buy something else in the UK it's cheaper than you might think especially second hand.

A few more questions If you don't mind.

How did you secure your rental from Canada? We are looking at renting a flatshare. How did you send your deposit?
