Default Welcome letter received

Yesterday I received my Welcome to America letter, does this mean I will now be in the SAVE system for my SSN?

Hi broma,

I don't think there's a correlation between that letter from USCIS and your name being available to SS yet.

The only way to know for sure is to go into a SS office and inquire for sure.

Best Wishes,
Rene

Hmm I just thought that as I wasnt in the system when I went to SS and the lady told me immigration had not yet processed my paperwork, that now I have received my Welcome letter that I must have been processed.

The system here is so confusing!!

hehehe...that's an understatement! I'd say the welcome letter might be a good indication of your paperwork having been processed...I'd go check with SS again.
