We arrived in CO last week after a 4 day drive from MA. Mostly without any problems. The vet gave us ace to help keep the dogs calm, and it worked pretty well. They didn't sleep a whole lot, it was just to keep them from barking and whining which would have driven me crazy on such a long drive. We were thinking the drive might upset them more than it did. They were pretty well behaved in the hotels we stopped at. Probably thought wherever Mum is at, is home. The last night we spent in Nebraska and a fierce storm went through, it got very dark with high winds, rain and lightning. The hotel people said if the tornado siren goes off, head for the first floor bathrooms(yikes). Now they have settled into their new home and there is a sea of boxes still to be unpacked, still some from our move over here 12 years ago. The kids (grown up now) don't want to part with any of their toys. They said might come in handy for any future grand kids (help). I think the trash collectors are going to be busy over the next few weeks with things we meant to throw out and didn't get round to it.
