Just wondering--would a UKC with a greencard just arrived in the US get charged the overseas student rate to study at a US university, or as a home student?

Btw no need to worry about AOS. Forget it. You don't need to do that with DCF.

In order to qualify for discounted state university rates for students, one must be able to prove residency in the state for the time requires set by each individual college/university. Some will allow the immigration to assume the residency status of their US Spouse while other universities require the residency status to be based on the student's time in the state regardless of their spouse's residency status. The best source of information as to the university's policy is the university itself.

Here in the US, at least to my knowledge, a home student is a student that is taught at home, by a parent, tutor, or through some form of telecommunication, as opposed to a student that attends school in the institution's physical structure.

Assume, therefore, you are speaking of resident and non-resident students.
