Default vtcarter6's I-864 questions (DCF)

An older thread but one I found helpful...just need a few further clarifications. First question...is the preference on this forum to add new replies to older (but relevant) threads or to start a new thread?

So in part 6, the replies above indicate that I as the USC sponsor can use my current employment/income from my UK job, even though it wouldn't continue in the US? Or do I list myself as unemployed because neither I nor my husband currently have jobs lined up in the US?

This is slightly complicated by fact that I'm currently on maternity leave. Or maybe not.

Thanks!

Start a new thread, which I'll do for you now.

If you are earning income in the UK, list it on the I-864. But it won't count towards qualifying, because it won't continue in the USA. You would need to use assets or a joint sponsor.

Or do I list myself as unemployed because neither I nor my husband currently have jobs lined up in the US?
Do not list yourself as unemployed if you are working. That's not a true answer.
