Default VSC no movement since 21st Oct???

Hi Again

My Fiance called VSC today, only to be told there has been NO movement on our case since we recieved our RFE NOA,Which was the 21st October.
The woman told him she could not understand why??? So she was going to print off the details she had in front of her and hand them to a supervisor.
He asked if contacting his congress would help get things moving, she said probably but give it another week, As by then the supervisor should have the case moving for us.
Has anybody here had this same type of thing with their process?????
If so did they really print off the details and move things along???
Hope you can understand why I'm asking these questions,Its just that for the last few weeks we have been told,Call again next week it takes time or the last one before this was the computers are down???
Is this just another one of their story lines???

I also am waiting for a reply from vermont. I filed an I 130. My first NOA is 10/22. I have phoned several times as well. They said there has been no movement at all. I have been told that this will take at least the 150 days stated on the time frame given on the NOA.
This is a terrible process!!! I wish everyone luck and patience!!

Default Question for a friend of mine

I have a lady that I know in Russia and she is friend of my fiance. She
has met a man from US, and he has told her that he has filed a 129F for
her, but it has been 9 months since he told her this, and all he tells
her is that 'it is being processed'. He has not given her a 'case
number' or anything.

If he has really applied for her a visa, shouldn't he have a case number
and a way that she can check the status on the INS website.
Obviously, she is starting to get suspicious that maybe he never
applied. I told her she should ask him to give her a case number.
