Default Visiting America whilst processing petition

Hi all,

I remember reading (but I cannot remember where) that if you go to
visit your fiance whilst you are having an application processed you
should take with you adequate proof that you are going to be returning
to your home country. Is there any truth to this and if so what sort of
information is deemed "adequate"?

New Year in New York with my fiance :)

anyhow, if anyone knows I would appreciate the infromation!

Thanks,
Kev

Of course there is truth to it. You should ALWAYS bring proof that you plan on returning, engaged or not. The officers are just more likely to question it if you have a pending petition.

Examples: apartment lease/house deed, letter from work or school saying when you're expected back, etc
