Hello everybody!
Maybe anybody knows email address of the BCIS Chief? We have been waiting for our NOA2 for 50 days already. We know, that some people have to wait longer, but we miss each other so badly, that we can't wait any more longer. Seriously, mayby they might have lost our papers. Because people that applied after us were already approved.
Thanks,
Natasha and Dennis

Rete,
You wait at the entrance to the parking lot around 8:00 am, flag down every car that turns in, and ask them what unit they work in :-D

I know how you feel, it took 56 days for Vermont to get to our application and of course the worries about lost papers started once the projected processing time of 30-45 days was exceeded.
We called the 800 number once the time had passed, even though they weren't very helpful, we wanted to know that we had followed instructions and done all that we could.
We got an RFE after the 56 days, but it was a huge relief to know that they had our paperwork. I went through the same stress again when it took them 16 days to acknowledge the info we sent them for the RFE.
What I have learnt is that as frustrating as it is to wait, they do get there in the end. If have your NOA#1 it's very unlikely that they have lost your paperwork.
I'm sure you'll hear some good news any day now.
All the best
Clare

>Can anybody explain why the officers in BCIS of Vermont don't
>work on the cases in the order of the application dates?
They generally do process the cases in the order received, however if a case
gets an IBIS hit, it gets pulled from the main stream of cases and will
experience a delay, slight to significant, while the an officer does the
required follow up IBIS work.
Has either the petitioner or beneficiary (in this case) been arrested before?
If not, are the names of the petitioner or beneficiary common ones? If so, that
increases the odds of receiveing an IBIS hit as it is more likely there is
someone else with that same name who has an arrest record.
Good luck.

Looks like a spoof on the good name of our esteemed Matt Udall to me. Proceed with caution!

Hi Mr. Pink,
My first reply was not a spoof, but really came from me, M. Udall. There seems
to be a glitch in the system as I'm not able to post replies via Ex-Pats today,
so I posted it via my old news group reader (the way I posted for years before
using Ex-Pats).
It seems there have been some format changes on Ex-Pats (I now see advertising
at the top of the pages), and I assume Paul has to reset my account of
something along those lines. It's happened before (when changes were made to
the Ex-Pats format) and is why I think it's just a glitch in the system.
I've sent mail to Paul asking him to look into it. Rita, is there anything you
can do to check my account with Ex-Pats?
Thanks in advance.

Well, I wonder if fail to pay a ticket counts but latter paid. What kinds other than serious felony charge would hold things up?
My main question is would BCIS state they have a "hit" and are trying to sort it out?
Would it not be easier for them to say in a letter that looks something like this?
"Hey! Pay your ticket to Small-town USA that is now 6 years old. Let us know when you have and we will advance your petition."
Why don't they (or do they?) let people know they are on a snag so the person can assist?
