Vaccation Certification/AOS if Wife is Pregnant?
I just got married and am doing an AOS for the K-1 visa, and my wife
is now pregnant. I called an INS-sanctioned doctor for the vaccination
certificate required as part of the AOS, but he informed me that she
cannot have any vaccinations (which makes sense). But he told me he
has to complete some paperwork for the same fee that I attached to
some form. He was extremely vague.
Anyone know the procedure for the vaccination certificate if your wife
is pregnant?
Thanks,
Kim

hi! first of all congratulations!!!!!!!!!!
I am pregnant myself and also went through the completing all those papers u have mentioned... the easier way would be, well if your wife is pregnant she ig occasionaly going to ner OB, correct? and they do all the requeremnt test at the first visit, well results of those tests(it will include HIV and many others)u can bring to the doctor INS gives u(this is what I have done) and doctor will look at tests and write their results in a document provided and also mark that she is pregnant and can not have certain shots.. don't worry, they know what to do. But what he told u is correct and he has to it for the same price. (to me it costed 30$)
well, any questions, reply back, good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All vaccinations can be waived for medical reasons at the discretion of
the INS-approved doctor. Pregnancy is only one of the possible reasons;
another example is an allergy to eggs (many vaccinations are cultured in
eggs).
Incidentally, the vaccinations can also be waived for religious reasons.
Of course, regardless of whether or not anything is waived, the doctor
would still have to fill out the paperwork, and will charge the fee for
that.
