Vacation out of US
Hello,
My husband is on J1 visa working in US as a visiting professor. This summer
we are thinking to go on vacation in his home country in Europe for a month.
Will he have problem getting his visa renewed when reentering US?

he will not get a new visa while re-entering the U.S.
He needs to get a new visa at the U.S. consulate in whatever country he is travelling to. Whether he will have any problems will depends on quite a few factors, and since you didn't provide us with any more information, we can't really help you.

When does his program end? It's listed on the DS-2019 form he has.
If his visa and program are not expired, the passport is valid, and he has a multiple entry visa, then he should be properly documented to apply for admission after a vacation abroad.
