Default Using foreign spouse's I-130 approval letter to file for I-485

Hello everyone,

Our I-130 was approved this past March, and our approval letter was sent out but they bungled the address and it was returned to them. We'd since moved, and called in our change of address and mailed a hard copy. The woman who changed our address on the phone said she would forward our new addy to TSC.

Well 8 months later and we still haven't received it. AND we just bought a house and so have moved again.

My K3 visa is set to expire this coming February, so I really to get my I-485 filed. My question is this: Can I use the I-130 approval letter they sent to me in Canada to file my I-485 with or do I need the one they sent my USC?

Thanks a lot,

Amanda

Just a guess, but i would think that an approval letter is an approval letter, so it should work. I would call the mis-information line and ask.

Good Luck!
