I used mine for a skiing trip. I always put on my application that I
sometimes had to go for business but I doubt that made any difference. I did
explicitly put down a skiing trip as a reason on one of my applications.

To qualify for AP you need an "emergent" reason. Note that the word is NOT "emergency". "Emergent" reasons can be anything on the planet. A few years back, an INS official who is now LA's BCIS director noted -- if you want to be placed in a worse legal position if things go wrong and PAY us for the privilege -- it must be 'emergent.'"
