Yup lpdiver----and watch out on rec.scuba----there is someone on there
that works for State and openly admits he "has an obligation to report
US Citizens that talk about going down to Cuba."

being fined for "unauthorized travel to Cuba". I have a Colombian
friend who is inviting her to Colombia so she can get a visa from
Cuba. He was not aware that Colombia does not perform DCF for non
residents anymore. As of when where you aware of this?

On the serious note -- note the general rule -- the question

one of COLOMBIAN law.
Holy cow man...You mean the scuba trips that the local dive shop is
running to Cuba places yoat risk of being fined?
Out of curiousity Why would you choose to marry in Colombia? My
=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0wife is
Colombian and we married there. However, Colombia does not
=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0perform DCF
for non residents anymore, so I am curious why the jump through =A0 the
hoops for a Colombian venue. My wife does have a friend who
=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0married a
Cuban here in the states.
