Default US Embassy Appointments

Can anyone who has recently done this tell me how easy it was to get an appointment for the interview with the US embassy for Visa processing. I am due to be coming home at Xmas to do it, and wanted to find out how far in advance I need to call to set it up.

Thanks for the help,

Kirsty

I have a similar prdicament with an L1 Visa, but I want to travel on 24 July this year. The options seem really arcane. Booking an appointment at the US Consulate in London. They tell you when it is, rather than you picking. Turning up. Handing over your passport and documents and waiting till they send them to a UK adress in five days time. Simple.

The other option is sending them to Washington and waiting three months.

I have heard Mexico is easier, but have not heard anything definite.

Maybe the Caymen Islands or soemwhere is more straightforward.

If you hear anything easier please let me know. This is absolutely hopeless. [email protected].

Regards

Matthew

Kirsty

I just applied for the appontment date for my L1b

They gave me July 31st

I called back a day later on the off-chance and they had had a
cancellation - my new apppointment is on the 10th of July!

the phone call is steep - £1.30 per minute, but it seems you can save a lot
of time if you are lucky.....

it is very straightforward and not at all arcane
