UCICS Approves the K-1 petition, what is the timing from here ?
I received an e-mail from UCICS today saying that my petition for a K-1 fiance visa has been approved. My fiancee is from the Philippines. I know the next step is that they send the paperwork to the embassy in Manila. She has to complete another batch of forms and have an interview. We have completed the forms already in anticipation.
I have a couple of questions on timing. I am on an out-of-town assignment and do not want to bring her here, until I finish it. I assume the Philippines paperwork will take about 4 months. After she is granted the K-1 visa, how long do we have until she has to enter the US. I know we have to get married within 90 days after she enters, but how quickly does she have to enter the US after getting the visa.
Doesn't seem right to bring her here while I am on the road all the time.
