Thanks Aycee - good find.

Abir I think the 7-18 months guestimate is just about as good as its going to get. Small office or large - they both have their downsides. Big cities have big departments adn more staff to cope, smaller ones have less volume of applications but there will probably be a more laid back "Do it tomorrow" attitude. Best thing we can do is post up the events as they happen so we can all have at least some gauge as to how others are progressing.

13 Aug 2007 - N400 to TSC
16 Aug 2007 - N400 received by TSC
21 Dec 2007 - Check cashed.
Here we are chaps - the latest installment is that my "Noah" has arrived - I was 2 days out about my check being cashed so here is the exact process for me so far -

13 Aug 2007 - N400 to TSC
14 Aug 2007 - N400 received by TSC (date as shown on NOA and also given as priority date)
19 Dec 2007 - Check Cashed
27 Dec 2007 - I-797C Notice of Action received.

As seems to be the case with a lot of them, mine has the blanket statement about some evidence missing that I will need to bring to the interview, and the usual expect to be notified of an interview date within 730 days.

We are also going via L'ville. Filed in July, have interview next week, so I'd say that time frame is a bit generous just to CTA.

I just got the I-797C NOA, like others it also says:

- Some blanket statement saying that evidence(s) missing and I will receive a separate notice listing the missing evidence(s) I need to bring to the interview

- I will also get a separate FP notice with time and location

- I am supposed to get interview notice within 180 days?

Updated Timeline:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
09/10/2007 - Application Mailed
09/13/2007 - Application arrived at TSC
12/20/2007 - Check cashed
12/29/2007 - Received I-797C Notice of Action
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Waiting on ... Finger Printing notice ...

Ok Gang,

The picture is becoming a little clearer, thanks to your posts.

The times from receipt to cashing the checks has ranged from 120ish days at the peak of the glut in August after the Aug. 1, 2007 fee increase, to 84-100 days for the early to late September filers, to now 43 days for a mid November filer.

So progress appears to being made.

Now the $ 64,000 question is how long for notice of interview date, and how long for interview?

A very good question but you will just have to watch this space. The dates can obviously vary dependant on where you are situated and the waiting list for that area.

I think it's going to be well nigh impossible to monitor progress from fingerprinting onwards. There are so many Field Offices, as against just 4 Service Centers. Added to that, the official stats for Field Offices don't seem to be nearly a accurate as the weekly updates USCIS has been issuing for receipting times.

Oklahoma City office is my venue (as far as I know). I know of one other person who may be in the same line with me, a few weeks behind, but that's all, so far. The number of days to notification of interview estimated on NOA was 365.

N400 July 26 07 (TSC)
Cheque cashed 19 Nov 07
NOA 26 Nov 07
FP noticr 6 Dec 07
FP done 17 Dec 07(OKC)

Same here. Application mailed on 11/11, received 11/13. The check was just cashed yesterday. Very surprised, and happy.

Btw, we're going through the Louisville, KY office too.
