Default travel restrictions on the K-1?

Can any one tell me if there are travel restrictions on the K-1? When
my fiancee comes to USA on k-1, she would like to return to Belarus
after perhaps a year in US to visit her family. Will she be able to
do that? How often can she return?

Thanks
Bob

After the marriage you file for adjustment of status.
She can leave before this is approved if she files form I-131 and gets
Advance Parole.
After the AOS is approved, she will be a permanent resident and free to
travel.

Hi Bob,

Yes, there are restrictions. She will be able to return to Belarus
but be very careful. She will need to obtain an Advance Parole for
each time she wants to return to Belarus until her adjustment is
completed. If she leaves the US without this document I believe INS
considers it an abandoment of her K1 visa.

Hope this is helpful.

Isn't AP multi entry for a year?

You can get single and multiple entry AP's. Just check the box on the application form specifying that you want a multiple entry AP.

Normally you require a police certificate for any place other than your home country and/or country of current residence where you have resided for more than 12 months. For your home country and current residence you need a police certificate from any place where you have lived for more than 6 months. As your fiance is currently resident in Canada I'd get the police certificate. I believe you can get one from the RCMP.
