Travel after filing I-485
 

Hello, everyone, I need help about travel abroad after filing I-485.

My situation: 1-140 approved, PD will be current on July 1, 2006, and I
have validate H1B visa stamp until Sept 2006.

I need to travel abroad on July 8 - July 28, and I also will mail my
i-485 on June 30. My question is: Can I travel abroad with my H1B on
July 8 - July 28 after mail in my i-485 application on July 1? I've
heard I need to receive the I-485 receipt before I can leave US? Is it
true.
