Default Timing CP at London Embassy

I'm in the US on a K-3 and our I-130 was approved last month. This weekend I
received the pack containing the bill for the Affidavit of Support and a
copy of the DS-2032 from the NVC. We intend to do Consular Processing in
London, and would like to get a ten year green card.

This is my question, I guess Cindyabs may know the answer, as she is going
through the same process. It is our second anniversary on the 3rd March next
year, just over four months away. When would be the best time to send this
paperwork in to assure that our interview date is after the date of our
anniversary? I'm guessing , from what I've read on the net, that around the
3rd November would be about right. Anyone have any ideas on this?

Sometimes these things happen very quickly and sometimes they take a while. If you're not in a rush and you want to be absolutely sure your interview is after your 2nd anniversary, wait until the beginning of 2005 to file, preferably on or after March 3!

Well for the folks doing DCF, London is running just over 2 months behind on processing their stuff. Not sure if that's relative to us on the US side of the house, but I would imagine that with holidays in December etc coming up there might be a slight back up there.
Also it would be nice if you could time it to take advanage of the low season airfares, that normally go off 31 March. Remember on the K3 you could request a travel date, don't see why you couldn't try to do the same with London on this?

Hi:

I would do it as quickly as possible. It is difficult to expedite matters, but it is usually easy to reschedule to delay things.

Thanks very much for the advice Mr F. I have taken it and filled in the
forms today, with the intention of mailing them in the morning. When I was
dealing with the Embassy and living in England, they always seemed be very
helpful when contacted via email, and were amenable when asked to change
anything. If I get an earlier appointment than I really want, I'll write and
ask them to reschedule it.
