Default Timeline texas service center

Hi,I met a wonderful Arkansas guy in may on the internet. In July I
visited him for 5 days.They became 5 incredeble days.When I got home(I
am from Holland)I decieded to come for a longer time to get to know
eachother better. So I came in october to the states and I came home
today(January 3)We had the time of our life. And we both have some
thinking about getting married. But knowing to be seperated and have a
internetrelation,we decided to go for the fiancee visa.
So today I sended him the forms that I downloaded and he has to send
them to Texas.I like to know if anybody know how long it takes if you
have to apply at the texas service center? And does he have to send
them the 134 form(affidiat of support form)or only the fiancee
application with the 2 biographic forms.
Already my thanks

Hmmmmmmmmm, Timeline at TS. Well it was about 3 weeks, now it's at about 3 1/12 months and getting longer every day.

Your Fiance needs to send in the I-129f form and the two biographic forms now. He will send you a completed affidavit of support when you go to the US Embassy or Consulate to get your interview for the K1 Visa once you have your 2nd NOA.

A word of wisdom. This is going to take a little while. Be prepared to wait it out. Visit each other if you can, but if you come to the States once the Fiance application is pending, be prepared to show lots of proof you are only here to visit and are planning on returning home.

Cheers,

leslie

Hedy,

The I-134 goes back to you. You will need it at the interview.
Your fiancé should send in the I-129F, the two Bio forms with the required
photos, a check for $110.00, proof that you two met in person in the last
two years and if necessary divorce certificates.
I may be forgetting something here but all required documents are listed on
INS's web site.

Good luck

the interview.

Hi Hedy,

I am also planning to marry a wonderful guy from Arkansas, who is now my fiance. We are still waiting for my final divorce decree (about two weeks! ) before he can send in the I-129f. Naturally we will also be going through TSC. I am in the UK and will look out for you on this board.

Good luck!

Hedy, I mentioned in my previous reply that it is taking the Texas Service Center (TSC) about 3 1/2 months to process the Fiance Visa applications. Right now they are processing applications from around mid-September.

Cheers,

Leslie

You are asking how long it is taking at the Texas Service Center? The
real question is: How long before you retire? Do you plan on having
children with this man? If you are currently under 10 years of age,
then you might have a chance at having a child before you reach
menopause, since you are going through the TSC. My advice, find
someone in Holland or have your guy move to Vermont.

Your first step in order to get the K1-Visa, is to fill in the I-129F
(with evidence that you have met in the past 2 years, and that you and
a satement that you will get married) and two Bio forms (G325A I think
its called). The time till you get the final approval varies. In my
case I sent my I-129F on July 12, 2002 and received a notice from INS
a week later stating thay they have received my payment. And I got the
approval by mail son September 11. I did this with the Los Angeles, CA
center...but I guess they are all the same. Some may take some more
time, some make take less time.

So, my fiancee (he is from Venezuela) had till September 12 till
January 11 to complete his part of the deal. Which is the affidavit,
medical examination and some forms that the embassy gave him. I
suggest you call the embassy right way 2 weeks after your US fiance
gets the approval, be very persistant, because they may just tell you
that INS hasn't sent them anything regarding your case, and for sure
your case is already there sitting on someones desk. So, once you get
the embassy to give you the forms you have to fill in, you have to
tell your US fiancee to fill in the Affidavit (1-134)and make sure he
sends you all his banking information, Tell him not to worry about the
bank letter, I sent a statement from the bank (which was for the past
6 months) and I sent copies of all the statements the bank sends me by
mail. And they accepted them. I even had a cosponsor, but they did not
want it, they said that the sponsor's affidavit was enough). Once you
have your medical examination, and all the forms completed, call and
make an appointment, from then its just a matter of days. If they tell
you: Please leave your passport and pick it up tomorrow, you can smile
and be relieved, because that means you got your visa!!! We finished
our papers in December, and we are getting married in February.

This site might be very helpful, I still use it as if it was my
bible!!

Hi again!

Yes hopefully will be able to send the petition in a couple of weeks. He is living in Northwest Arkansas, probably about two and a half hours drive away from Little Rock - I know that because I usually fly in there! And yes, he is a real gentleman
