I came into the US at Seatac on a K-1 on 9/4/01. I married in Oct 2001 and then applied for the AOS on 12/3/01 at the Airport Way Seattle office. I didn't receive any NOAs until 5/1/02, which was the notice of AOS interview. The interview wil be on 6/28/02. So from filing I485 until the interiew - nearly 7 months.

Here is my timeline
2/28/01 apply for K-1 visa to NSC
2/29/01 get NOA
2/30/01 packet arrives at London embassy, my husband gets paperwork
2/31/01 husband sends his paperwork to embassy
2/32/01 husband has medical exam and gets K-1 visa at embassy in London
2/33/01 husband arrives into Sea-Tac and gets temp. EAD stamp in passport
2/34/01 applies for SS#
2/35/01 gets job and starts working (he applied from the UK, and got the job offer in
August; they knew he was coming in September)
2/36/01 we get married
2/37/01 we file our I485 and all the other assorted AOS paperwork at Seattle INS
2/38/01 his temporary EAD stamp runs out- has to take unpaid leave of absence until
he gets his EAD card
2/39/02 our AOS paperwork is returned due to "overpayment of checks"
2/40/02 refile our AOS paperwork with separate checks for each doc.
2/41/02 requests expedited AP so he can work in the UK until his EAD comes through
2/42/02 gets expedited AP
2/43/02 goes back to UK to work temporarily
2/44/02 receive notice of EAD appointment for 4/19/02
2/45/02 re-enters the US
2/46/02 gets EAD at appointment
and we are still waiting for our AOS interview appointment
Hope this helps

YOU DO NOT FILE THE K-1 THROUGH SEATTLE INS OFFICE
You will file the I-129F at the service center, which for you would be Laguana
You will use the Seattle office for adjustment of status after the K-1 recipient enters the US, you marry and have to apply for adjustment of status.
Hope this helps clear things up
