I have one question. This is really pissing me off. I had filed in NYC for I-130 in Aug 2002. I recently started tracking the processing times on INS web site( to which your web site also provides a link).
This is what I found.
In Jan when INS released processing times, it said for district office NYC, they are processing I-485 for June 2002.
In the next release the same processing date was stated as May 2002
In the last release of processing dates, INS reported that NYC is now processing Feb 2002.
I am really confused. Is INS making all these dates up or is NYC going in reverse order?
I will like to hear your valuable comments on this. I am personally confused

Timeline for NYC processing of adjustment of status (assume here you also filed the I-485) is 24 months and upwards.
As for the numbers, not unusual at all. Have seen this happen with the VSC in regards to the I-751 petitions. They would be December and then jump to February and then go back to December again.
Guess someone found a stack of petitions older than the ones they were currently working on and had to revamp the numbers. You should be interviewing this year for your adjustment. The USCIS gods willing that is.

I tend to treat the reports with suspicion, they seem to be fairly random a lot of the time. Keep an eye on this NG for the scoop on what's really happening out there.
