Default Time to send I-751 application

I-751 application.

A person married to a US citizen

April 2002 Married.
April 2003 AOS interview. 551 stamp put on passport, with stamp advising about
section 216.
Green Card expiry date, April 2005

When does the 751 application have to be done ? 90 days before Green Card
expiration ? Does the two years start from marriage, AOS interview, 551 stamp
or something else ?

My understanding is that 751 needs to be filed within 90 of 2nd aniversary of
granting permanent resident. In this case it would be 90 days before april
2005.

I want to be sure I have the time requirements correct !

Also, my step child has a Green Card through this marriage. Will the I-751
application cover the step child's Green Card as well as my wife ?

Thanks in advance.

Must file by April 2005; can file as early as 90 days prior to that date
(e.g. it's two years from permanent residency, not marriage). A separate
application is not required for the children.

Andy.
