Default Time to get EAD card from approval

Hi, I just got informed by USCIS that they approved my fiance-sponsored
EAD, yeah!

Application Type: I765 , APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Current Status:

On September 30, 2005, after approving your application, we ordered you
a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready.

So my question is, how long time does it normally take before I can
actually expect to see it in my mailbox??? I'm in New York City and
filed the application with my I-130 and AOS to Chicago

Hi Patric,

In my husband's case....his first EAD came 1 week after the online approval. His renewal EAD came 3.5 weeks after the online approval. Your mileage may vary.

Best Wishes,
Rene

Wow, I got it today, October 6, 2005. One week, that was fast. The card
was sent from USCIS Missouri center. Rene, thanks for your quick reply.

Hi Patric,

Congrats on getting the Card! By the way, which service center did you
file the application in?

Hi Neo,

If you read the last paragraph of the original post, you'll see he filed it at the Chicago lockbox address. That's where all EAD applications get filed.

Best Wishes,
Rene

Hi,

Last week I checked the status of the case on the USCIS site and it
showed that the card was undelivered and has been returned back to the
office. Asked me to update the address.

I dont understand, how it was returned as undeliverable, when the
address was correct.

Anyway, I talked to the rep and "updated" my address, and requested her
to resend the card. She said that she has put in the notes to resend
the card. When I asked her how much time it will take me to receive the
card, she said 30 days :(((

Has any one of you faced a similar situation? If yes, does it really
take that many days to resend the card. I tried to check the change in
the status on the website, but no change as yet!!!
