Thankful for this forum!
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone on here that provided advice regarding my husband's visa.
I realised today how much I had learned from this forum through not only asking my own questions, but reading others' experiences.
We were at the consulate for my husband's interview (I'd emailed to accompany him) when we arrived the lady initially said that only applicants can go in, but then managed to find my name written on the bottom of the list, so I was allowed in. I had only know to complete the request to accompany him because of this forum! There was another guy there who was saying he was shocked his wife had to wait outside, even though she was a U.S. citizen!
I also felt that we knew what to expect during the interview because of reading the experience of others, and this made the interview far less formidable!
I had also had my husband take a copy of my job offer letter and other evidence of intent to domicile, (as advised reading posts on here) and that letter came in very handy, meaning we didn't actually need to use the joint sponsor at all, as my income was sufficient!
So thank you to everyone!
Oh, and the visa was approved! 😀

Glad to hear it and glad that we (or more accurately, others) were able to help!
Of course, this is just the beginning of your adventure! Best of luck moving forward.
