After spending the weekend in despair and not feeling hopeful today when I checked the online status, I read that we are approved.

Onto the U.S. Consulate in Vancouver. Finally. Thank God.

Thanks to all for your words of encouragement over the past difficult days! Beyness, especially you!

Oooh, I get to change my signature line now!
Congrats! I'm so happy for you. I know what a relief this must be!

Not only is it wonderful news for you - it's a breath of fresh air to anyone that's right behind you! Hopefully this will develop a patter and we see lots more approvals from Nebraska!

Best Wishes,
Jen

Thanks to those who recently chimed in - I appreciate your kind words and thoughts. It's a relief to know that I'm leaving Nebraska's clutches.

Peachster, a breeze!? That's welcome news. I'll look over your posts to glean information that will undoubtedly aid me in my journey through Vancouver. ;-)

Default Wonderful News

Good for you!!! I truly believe you are now beyond the hurdles.....My fiance got his visa today, and somehow I think that waiting for the approval on this side, the second NOA, is the most stressful point. Atleast for the petitioner......just my opionion, but I looked at it like he was just going to pick up his visa today. Thank God it worked out that way.......Cake walk from here on in for you!!!!!!!Best of Luck

Yep they are Nic. Very friendly people & are willing to give couples a chance. For the affidavit of support it was borderline for the 125% poverty level.(myself & co-sponsor) they told my fiance that this was a minor thing & he wouldnt hold this against my fiance from gettin his visa. As long as you have the required documents & can show your affidavit of support is above borderline you will have no probs. I brought a ton of evidence proof of relationship & they didnt even ask to see it. Just a few questions & asked for certain documents & that was it. Very easy.

Thanks Jill! I'm sure you're right and I look forward to this part of the process going a "tad" quicker than the petition part!

Peachster, thanks so much for the information. It's a comfort to know that there are others here who have successfully navigated Vancouver.

Cdn Chick - you betcha! I'll let you know.

I'm on my way!

Marcus
