Default Temporarily unemployed while filing AOS

Hi My fiance is moving here in September and we are getting married in October. The place that I work will be closed a few weeks for renovation probably in October. My mom is a joint sponser for us since I live mainly on tips but they are taxed in my paycheck. I hope to file for AOS before we are temporarily closed. Do I need to mention this when filing? I hope everything is filed before the renovation so I won;t need to mention this. I have no problem getting a letter of employment. I will have a job after they reopen.

You don't need to mention the office being closed for renovations, no. If you earn the right amount of income, you will have proof of it to include with the I-864. If you don't, your mom can still be the joint sponsor.

I would be worried that I would be missing the last few paychecks . It's a restaurant and my base is low and I have only been there since July since the event company I worked for can't afford me right now. My income in tips which show in my paycheck are very sufficient so I hope they consider that.I have a good amount of assets as well.Mom makes over 70K and has been at her job over 20 years. I'm really hoping they do this after we file. Thanks Rene
