I requested three tax transcripts (for the last three years).

There were two separate requests (forms) in the envelope - one for my husband's tax return (1 year) and one for our joint tax return (2 years). After a couple of weeks I got only one tax transcript - my husband's. Is that normal and should I expect another envelope some time soon? Or do they usually send all of the requested transcripts together? Thanks!

Earlier this year, I requested three years (2001, 2002, 2003) tax transcripts via the IRS website. Even though I requested these on the same day, each came in an individual envelope and I do believe they were delivered by the mail lady on the same day.

Mine have always come separate from each other as well (2 different orders placed).

I ordered mine and they all came in the same envelope!!, The man who attended me was kind of rude by the way!!

Just to add that the woman I talked to was really rude too... It happens so
often, I don't know why I'm always surprised when people are that way at
"customer service" . :-)

That's why I ordered my tax transcripts online. I wanted to avoid speaking to a moody IRS employee.

I try not to rely on tax transcripts, but when I must, I also make sure I include copies of the actual w2s and/or 1099s for the years in question.

I received mine in the mail today (all 4 in the same envelope) with the
woman's name on them. I should send her a nice card in the mail...perhaps
she was just having a bad day... :-)

All I saw was where you could either call them or mail in a form. I guess I
must have overlooked the place where you could request them online. I
would've much preferred doing it that way! :-)

I didn't see where to order them online either. And when I called the number I got a lot of options, except for the tax transcripts.

I will definitely take W-2 and our 1040 forms with us, I just thought IRS transcripts would be a nice addition.
