The pictures required for the visa ARE the US passport style ones which you are bringing to the interview.

ALL APPROVED : )

So I had my interview this morning which went quite well. Asked how we met etc and had a look at our engagement pictures and said all approved. Kept my passport and said I should have it back within 7 days

Thank you all so much for all the help and guidance

Thank you

I am sure I will have a whole new load of questions in a couple of weeks with AOS. EAD and AP

We are both so excited and pleased as we were expecting some form of administrative processing.

My visa still has not been processed

It was approved nothing else required and now we are on 11 working days later.

Be patient, perhaps there was a delay in printing the visa or something. If it goes past 2 weeks, then perhaps give them a call.

I know where we have waited so long it's just a matter of a few more days

It's my birthday next week and we really wanted to get the court marriage done on it, looks slim with the long weekend coming up.

Somebody has suggested that it might be going through AP. wouldn't they have advised me of that and returned my passport to me until it was complete?

Yes, if it was in AP you would have been given a 221g form.

Ok definitely wasn't given 221g

Just wish there was a way of knowing why it's taking long

So I got my response from the embassy

They have said that my application requires further AP. I was not told of this at the interview. They do not know how long this will take.

They have had my passport for 3 weeks now and im getting quite upset about this to say the least.

Does anybody have any experience of this?

They should return your passport during AP anyway, since this can easily be over a year. They never will give an estimated length, since for the US it is a matter of national security.
