syed84's I-129F at Vermont

Hi all

13th November was out 5 month mark since we submitted I129F. After calling the Vermont Centre we have been advised that they have added an additional 2 months as they are currently processing applications from early April.

Both of us really upset as I am expecting administrative processing after interview stage due to my ethnic background.

Hi syed,

The thread you tacked on to was for the I-130 petition. Yours is an I-129F, so I separated your post into a new thread.

Vermont are backed up as I said. It seems even worse for I-129f petitions as I have had it confirmed that they are working on late Mays I-130s at the moment.

Hi All

Happy Thanksgiving

Quick question for you

When my fiancee phoned Vermont they advised that 2 months have been added on and not to ring before that as they will not have any info. Is it true that we cant call up before the 2 month mark or was someone just trying to get her off the phone?

You can call, but evidently you won't get any new information.

Thank you guys

Is there any point of me preparing my forms now or should I wait? Does it make a difference when they are dated?(assuming I need to sign and date them before hand)

What forms are those? You could prepare them now, and then sign and date them later...

I completed the DS-230 forms while in the US on holiday and left them with my wife. All she has to do is date them and they are good to go.

But aren't you supposed to take the DS-230 to the interview with you?

Ok, you really can't compare the K-1 process with an immigrant visa process. It will just confuse the OP.

So just looking on other forums and there are now k1's from enf of May being processed so hopefully the delays is not as long as they made out on the phone.

The times published on the website state they are now processing application from 16th April 2012 but that was last updated 30th September

So hopefully not too long
