Supplying evidence at interview

Hello! I was wondering if anyone could help me with a quick question. I have my interview at the US embassy on Friday and, whilst preparing the required documents I realised that there is no instruction to provide any sort of evidence package (photos, ect), but as I understand it this sort of thing is expected, correct? My wife and I have put together a huge, heavy package of photos and various other things and I'm wondering whether it will be too overwhelming. Have other people in the past taken photos ect to their CR1 interviews? If so at what stage in the process did you hand them over and what else would you recommend I take with me? Well I hope someone can advise me on this matter. Any help would be much appreciated.

I agree with redarmy (congratulations to you, by the way!).

Bring just a few items of proof, just in case...but you probably won't need them.

If London wanted proof of your relationship, they would mention it in their list. They will not look at it if you bring it. Nobody has ever needed it in London to my knowledge.

Thanks guys. I had saved every flight ticket stubb, joint bank account info, every letter and printed every e-mail between my wife and I and wacked them all in an album ready for the interview. Also, I included about 30 photos and a letter from the MD of the company where I work validating my love for my wife. So now I guess I'll just take a small fraction of this with me--which is good because the whole package weighed a ton. Cheers.

Yep, that would definitely be WAY too much information. A few photos is fine, plus whatever proof you have of your joint life together. No need for ticket stubs, souveniers, letters, emails, or anything declaring your love.

The letter is irrelevant. Love is not now and has never been part of the immigration equation. The US government simply doesn't care about whether or not love exists within the relationship.

This raises my curiosity - how does the MD of the company where you work have personal knowledge of your love for your wife? Does the MD spend personal time with the two of you?
