Default Super worried about my N-400

Hello,

I am finally ready to start my Naturalization process, and I received the
N-400 forms.

Recently my wife and I bought a home, I was asked if I was a US Citizen to
which I said NO, I also presented my GreenCard, and other documents to prove
it, they made copies of those items and were included in the loan
application, etc.

Now that we received the Mortgage/Home ownership paperwork, we noticed that
in one of the forms, it states that I am a US Citizen.......WHEN I AM NOT
and I made sure they understood, they even have copies of my immigration
papers?!

I revised and corrected the papers and sent them back to our mortgage
company....but I think the damage is already done?

One of the questions in the N-400 form is if I have ever claimed to be a US
Citizen.....now what do I do?

Am I doomed to be rejected or what can I do about this situation?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

You never claimed to be a US citizen, what are you worried about. Somebody made a clerical error.

This is probably a non-issue. In July, Sheila and I refinanced our house to take advantage of the recent low interest rates, and wound up in the same situation. The paperwork showed that I was a US citizen when, like you, I had indicated otherwise! The mortgage broker even asked to see my green card. I sent in my N-400 application in December - and I don't anticipate any problems. You did not misrepresent yourself.

Don't worry, you did not misrepresent yourself.
Citizenship status on morgage application is not relevant - this is really internal form for the financing institution. Their primary concern was the stability of your financial/immigration situation, LPR satisfied them as being on the same level as USC.

Just a reminder, the fees for N400 and FP are going up at the end of this month, so, HURRY UP!
