Default Summer in the U.S. (2nd)

If I want to stay in the U.S. more than the 90 days permitted from the I-94
what should I do?
I am interested to make a summer-travel in the U.S. and if possible to make
some little works
on the road.

And If I use all the 90 days permitted and than I return to my country, how
many days must I wait to
have permission to return in the U.S. for other 90 days?

Thanks for every useful suggestion!

In case you didn't see the answers to your first posting, I'll
answer this one.

Your questions are unclear. What visa do you intend travelling
on, or do you plan to use the visa waiver? Your mention of 90
days suggests the visa waiver, but you only get an I-94 if you
enter on a visa - visa waivers get I-94W.

If you enter on a visa waiver, you cannot extend the stay. If
you want to enter for tourism to stay more than 90 days, you'll
need a B-2 visa - but if you are from a visa waiver country,
you'll find it very difficult to get a B-2.

You are not allowed to do work of any kind if you enter on a
visa waiver. I don't think there is any visa that allows you
to enter for a relatively short period and do casual work. If
you want to work in the USA, you'll have to get an employer
to sponsor you then apply for an appropriate visa.

There are no absolute rules, but the purpose of the visa
waiver is to allow occasional short visits for pleasure or
business. If you've stayed the full 90 days, I'd recommend
waiting several months before trying to enter again.

There is a category called "J-1 summer work/travel." I suggest you google
that phrase at http://groups.google.com/. You would have to find an agency
to sponsor you, and you would have to get a J-1 visa before entering the
U.S.
