Hi,
We had our AOS interview in Albany on Jan 28.
my wife jennifer is the US citizen and i came on a K1 Visa in July
2002 and applied for AOS on September 4 2002.
we received the AOS appointment letter on Jan 7 2003.
in the Letter they asked us to bring
1- My passport, I94.
2-Letter of Employment, and tax returns for the time we've been
married
3-proof of relationship
our interview file was like 3 inch thick
, for the proof of
relationship
we included
1-lots of copies of pictures,
2-a copy of both my and wife's driving license, copy of my wife's
passport to show that her name has been changed.
3-Bank statments showing that we share a joint account as well as a
letter from the bank saying that we share credit cards too.
4-returned checks to show that both of us have been using the account.
5- letter from my health insurance showing that wife is included in
the plan.
6-letter from employer stating that my wife is my emergency contact
7-a copy of my wife's car insurance showing that i am covered under
that insurance.
8-copies of cell phone bills addressed to me at our address.
9- our apartment lease, showing both our names on the lease
10- copies of boarding passes.
11- our wedding tape
all the originals of all the above documents were in a seprate folder
the letter said that our interview time is 11:30, we got there at
11:00.
upon entrance an INS officer took the documents from me and i also
gave him the original wedding pics and video and kept the other
original documents with me.
At 11:30 sharp a lady called us and we followed her through a door
leading to the offices inside and followed her to her office, she had
us first stand there and raise our right hand and swear that all the
documents and info presented are authentic and correct.
The officer was very nice and once we sat down the very first thing
she said was, don't worry your file is complete and you will be out of
here with AOS stamp in few minutes.
she asked me how long when me and jen have known each other, asked
when did we get married.
and then went through the informatin in my application like checking
the spelling of my name, she asked what is the H in my middle name
stands for, i was still a bit nervous and thought she's asking me
about my age, so my wife made fun of me and the officer appologized
saying she made the H sounds like age![Smile](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)

She told us our I 129-F application has provided the proof they needed
that our relationship is authentic and that's why she doesn't need to
ask us any additional questions.
She gave us a paper to sign which says when to file for the removal of
conditions, stamped my passport with the I-551 and that was it.
the whole interview time took somewhere around 5 minutes.
good luck to all of you out there , and thanks a lot for all the
valuabe information everyone provided here, i won't go through names..
