There you go - I bet that will help you relax a little now. Right around the 4-6 weeks I guessed as well, if you go by the postage date

You might still receive the letter, but as you say, at least you now have a case number to use as a reference.

Well that is the funny thing, we already had the first letter from them to my wife which arrived??

After dealing with USCIS for the past almost 5 years, nothing surprises me anymore

2 different departments?
Letter to your wife would have been from USCIS and letters to you would be from Dept of State/Consular Unit.

2 totally different systems.
