Default Starting to lose hope on NYC AOS interview date - HELP!

I sent an email to our Rep here in Nassau county hoping that she could
help us find out the status of our AOS interview. We filed our AOS on
Jan. 29th, 2002 (yellow receipt date) and we have not received
anything. I was hoping to at least have my husband's fingerprinting
done by now (they say fingerprint appointment gets sent a couple of
months ahead of the actual AOS interview). BUT- NOTHING!

I am so afraid that the letter got lost in the mail and BCIS would
think we abandoned our case! I called the 800 number (some help) and
all they said was they would open an inquiry for our case and we
should receive a reply within four weeks!

Do you think if we get in line at the Federal Plaza and inquire in
person we would be able to find out the actual status? Or will they
just open another inquiry and will let us know by mail? I don't know
what else to do... any help or advise will be appreciated.

Thanks!

Default Re: Starting to lose hope on NYC AOS interview date - HELP!

The lines outside are not bad nor is the one for the 3rd floor information desk. In fact when we were there at around 9 on December 1 there were 30 ppl in front of us outside (and many were couples) and no one on line on the 3rd floor. The line for Section 245 on the 8th Floor, however, had SRO.
